Shadow World Boat
A traditional wooden fishing boat stranded in the intertidal zone, aka local dry dock.
While we were filming in Myanmar I fell in love with shadows and became a little obsessed with them. Especially when viewed from above and during the mid morning and mid afternoon sun, shadows can be almost perfect two dimensional representations of their 3D Counterparts. Most, however, are stretched and bend imperfect creative simplifications of their creator. Watching them calms me, it is like a short break or escape from an overwhelming reality and instead is fueling my inner child’s imagination ...giving me the chance to breath and daydream... and as long as the sun shines shadows will be born anew everyday as ever changing shapes, and if they are lucky the wind will make them dance and someone will notice, stop, take a breath and appreciate their multidimensional performance. Welcome to the shadow world.
